The CARE Lab is an interdisciplinary research group led by Dr. Azra Ismail at Emory University. We are a team of faculty, students, and staff across Emory, Georgia Tech, and beyond, with interests in HCI (human-computer interaction), computing/informatics, and public health. We strongly believe in collaborative and participatory research and work closely with health organizations, public health professionals, clinicians, policymakers, and technologists across industry, government, and nonprofit sectors.

- 09/26 Manvi and Sumon submitted their first lead-author papers to CHI! So proud of their growth.
- 08/26 Aradhana Thapa received the prestigious Mariam K. Chamberlain Dissertation Award from ICRW for her dissertation research on AI evaluation in community health. Congratulations!

- 02/26 Roshini's paper on LLM evaluation as sociotechnical practice was accepted at FAccT.
- 02/26 Manvi and Roshini's paper on receptivity to health chatbots among underserved women in India was accepted at the Gender and Technology Conference.
- 02/26 We received a pilot grant from the ACOG Foundation for AI-enabled clinical training for equitable menopause care.
